Short answer: it depends on the evening, and each DJ sets their own price. Describe the evening for free, and DJs who match send their prices in an offer. Below is what makes the price vary.
What makes the price vary
Playing time. How many hours the DJ plays, and when the evening starts and ends. Setting up and packing down come on top of the playing time. Whether the evening can be extended on the night, and what that costs, is something you agree with the talent.
Date and season. Saturdays in the wedding summer, the weeks around the big festivals and the Christmas dinner season are evenings many people want to book at once. That can show in the price, and the DJs you would most like may already be booked. A weekday or a Sunday is often easier. Post your request in good time.
Equipment. Does the DJ bring their own sound system, lights and microphone, or is it already at the venue? Equipment the talent carries in, sets up and takes home is part of the price. Say in the request what the venue has, so the DJs know what they are pricing.
Travel. Each talent says which cities they take work in. In Gothenburg a venue out in the archipelago or outside town, where the equipment has to be taken out and home again after the evening, is a different job from a central venue with a loading bay. Travel can be included in the price or be a line of its own; the offer says which.
Type of event. A wedding with music for the ceremony, speeches on a microphone and a request list is a different job from a club night where the music only has to play. Planning before the evening and what is to happen during it is work that shows in the price.
What is included, and what isn't
There is no package that is always included. Each DJ decides what the price covers, and the offer says so: the playing time, the equipment, the travel and whatever else belongs to the evening. What the offer does not state is not included.
Compare two offers by asking the same three questions of both: how many hours are included, who brings sound and lights, and is travel included? Two offers that look different can be the same evening at the same price once the answers sit side by side.
The price on the offer is what you pay. Nothing is added at checkout: Talentsio's commission is taken on the talent's side.
How to get real prices
Describe the evening once: the date, the place, how long and what you want. It is free. DJs who match send their own prices in an offer, and you compare them before you decide. Up to five offers for each talent you ask for, plus any talent you invite yourself.
Frequently asked questions
What does a DJ cost in Gothenburg?
It depends on the playing time, the date, the equipment, the travel and what kind of evening it is, and each DJ sets their own price. Describe the evening for free, and DJs who match send their prices in an offer.
Why do prices differ so much?
Usually because the offers are not for the same thing: how many hours are included, whether the DJ brings sound and lights, and whether travel is included. Ask the same questions about every offer and they can be compared.
What is included in the price?
What the offer states. Each DJ decides what the price covers, such as playing time, equipment and travel, and writes it in the offer. What is not there is not included.
Is VAT added?
The talent sets the VAT on their price, because it depends on what the talent sells and whether they are VAT registered, and you see the rate and the amount before you pay. The price on the offer is what you pay.
What does it cost to use Talentsio?
Nothing for you. Posting a request, receiving offers and comparing them is free. Nothing is added at checkout: Talentsio's commission is taken on the talent's side.
Can I negotiate the price?
If something in an offer doesn't suit you, write to the talent and ask, for example about fewer hours or different equipment. In the request you can also give a budget per hour if you like; it is not required.
