Booking a DJ in Stockholm
Stockholm is Sweden's most expensive market for DJs, and also the most fragmented. The price is driven less by skill than by logistics: a gig in the city centre with a loading bay and a lift rarely costs as much as the same evening at an archipelago venue, where the equipment goes out by boat and comes back at three in the morning.
Stadshuset, Fotografiska and Ulriksdals Värdshus are among the most sought-after wedding venues, and the archipelago venues on Fjäderholmarna and in Vaxholm fill the summer weekends well in advance. You can post a request for Södermalm, Östermalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Norrmalm and the rest of Stockholm County.
Season and planning ahead
June and August are completely booked up with weddings, and December with Christmas dinners and company parties. The student week in early June also takes a large part of what is available for a few days. If you want your first choice on a Saturday in June, your request should be posted by February at the latest.
What does a DJ cost in Stockholm?
The price depends on the playing time, the day and what is included, and each talent sets their own price in the offer. Post a request, and the talents who match send their prices. The price on the offer is what you pay: Talentsio's commission is inside the price and is not added.
The single biggest price difference between two offers is rarely the talent's experience; it is what is included. An offer without a PA and a dearer one with a PA, lights and a planning meeting can in practice be the same price. On Talentsio the equipment is a field of its own in the offer, precisely so that comparison can be made.

The contract is made automatically from the offer you accept. Both parties approve it on Talentsio.
4. Pay safely
The price on the offer is what you pay. Charged by the talent's terms, the rest the day after the evening, straight to the talent's own account.

What does it cost to post a request?
Nothing. Posting a request is free, receiving offers is free and comparing them is free. The price on the offer is what you pay; nothing is added at checkout. Talentsio's commission is taken on the talent's side.
Are the talents checked?
Yes. Every talent who takes payment through Talentsio has F-tax, checked before you pay. Every booking gets a contract that both parties approve on Talentsio. Your card is saved when you book and charged by the talent's terms, the rest the day after the evening, straight to the talent's own account through Stripe.
How far ahead should I book a DJ in Stockholm?
For Saturdays in June and August, and for New Year's Eve: four to six months. For an ordinary Friday outside the high season two to three weeks is often enough, and urgent bookings in the same week can be arranged.
Are sound and lights included in the price?
Almost never automatically. Always ask what is included before you compare two offers. On Talentsio the equipment is a field of its own in the offer, so you see in black and white who brings the PA, who brings the lights and what the venue already has.
