Prices for a DJ for a graduation party in Stockholm

Four things to keep in mind
- Post the request in March. By May the supply has in practice run out.
- Check the noise permit with the venue if the party is outdoors or in a residential area.
- Set a clear budget in the request. Graduation parties have smaller budgets than weddings, and saying so at the start saves everyone time.
- Choose a contact person for the evening who is not the one celebrating.
In Stockholm
June and August are completely booked up with weddings, and December with Christmas dinners and company parties. The student week in early June also takes a large part of what is available for a few days. If you want your first choice on a Saturday in June, your request should be posted by February at the latest.
Stockholm is Sweden's most expensive market for DJs, and also the most fragmented. The price is driven less by skill than by logistics: a gig in the city centre with a loading bay and a lift rarely costs as much as the same evening at an archipelago venue, where the equipment goes out by boat and comes back at three in the morning.
