Prices for a DJ for a Christmas dinner in Stockholm

Four things to keep in mind
- Book in September. In November the experienced names are gone.
- Make clear whether the music should start during dinner or after.
- Christmas dinner parties often end earlier than other parties: negotiate a shorter set instead of paying for hours you do not use.
- A company Christmas dinner needs an invoice and a company registration number. Arrange it before the evening, not after.
In Stockholm
June and August are completely booked up with weddings, and December with Christmas dinners and company parties. The student week in early June also takes a large part of what is available for a few days. If you want your first choice on a Saturday in June, your request should be posted by February at the latest.
Stockholm is Sweden's most expensive market for DJs, and also the most fragmented. The price is driven less by skill than by logistics: a gig in the city centre with a loading bay and a lift rarely costs as much as the same evening at an archipelago venue, where the equipment goes out by boat and comes back at three in the morning.
