Events in Uppsala
Uppsala is a university city, and much of its life follows the academic year. The student nations hold dinners, balls and parties, and the cathedral and the castle frame a centre where old halls stand beside newer venues along the Fyris river. Walpurgis Night at the end of April is celebrated across the city. Weddings are held in town and in churches and manor houses in the Uppland countryside, and companies gather for conferences and Christmas parties. Tell the talents who the guests are and what kind of evening it is: a formal dinner and a student party ask for different things.
Booking a host or entertainer
A host holds an evening together, and an entertainer gives the guests something to remember. This covers toastmasters and MCs who lead a dinner or a conference, comedians who perform a set, magicians who walk among the tables or take the stage, and dancers who put on a show or get people dancing. Many companies pair a host with a short act, and weddings often ask for a toastmaster who knows the traditions. Describe the evening in your request: the guests, the language, the programme and the part the talent plays in it.

Charged by the talent's terms
Your card is saved when you book. Before the evening you are charged only what the talent's cancellation terms keep, on the day each part starts to apply. The rest is charged the day after the evening.
If the talent doesn't come
Report it after the evening, and nothing more is charged. If the talent agrees, or doesn't answer within 48 hours, what was charged in advance is refunded. If the talent objects, what was charged in advance stays with them, and they may send you an invoice for the rest; it is never charged to your card. Talentsio is notified.

Frequently asked questions
What does a host or entertainer cost in Uppsala?
It depends on the hours, the date, the equipment and the kind of evening, and each talent sets their own price. Describe the evening for free and compare the offers.
How do I book a host or entertainer in Uppsala?
Post a request with the date, the place and what you want. Hosts and entertainers who fit send an offer, up to five. You choose, and book in one checkout.
Is it free to ask?
Yes. Posting a request, receiving offers and comparing them is free. You pay only if you book, and the price on the offer is what you pay.
Are talents checked?
Every talent's profile is reviewed by us, and their identity and F-skatt are confirmed before a booking can be paid.
Is sound and lighting included?
Each talent says on their profile and in the offer what they bring. Say in your request what the venue has.
How does payment for the booking work?
You pay by card on Talentsio, and the price on the offer is what you pay: nothing is added. Your card is saved when you book. When the talent's cancellation terms keep part of the price, that part is charged on the day it starts to apply, which can be at booking. The rest is reserved on your card 72 hours before the evening starts and charged the day after the evening, straight to the talent's own Stripe account.
